Getting started

Written assignments submitted for courses in the School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation at RWU are required to follow the standards of the appropriate style manual (see below).  For more information on how to cite sources correctly, please click on the tabs above.  For complete information, however, you will want to use the guides themselves.  Click on the titles or cover images to get the call numbers to find the guides in the library.

The Chicago Manual of Style should be used for all written SAAHP assignments except those focused on social science inquiry, such as assignments in ARCH 424 Social Aspects of Architecture.
The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) should only be used for SAAHP assignments focused on social science inquiry, such as assignments in ARCH 424 Social Aspects of Architecture.
